Hemp Seed Oil vs. CBD Oil and Is CBD Oil on Amazon?

With CBD being everywhere now, it’s easy to get confused when making a purchase or reading labels. Here are some of the key differences.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed oil is extracted from the hemp plant.

The extracts are taken from the seeds of the plant ONLY, leaving behind all of the medicinal parts.

Contains ZERO CBD.

Usage And Benefits Of Hemp Seed Oil

  • Natural moisturizer

  • Used in making lotions and soaps

  • Cooking oil

  • High in Omega 3, 6, and in some cases 9

Hemp CBD Oil

Cannabidiol oil or CBD comes from the Hemp plant.

CBD oil is made from the leaves, flowers, and the stalk of the plant and not from the seeds like hemp seed oil.

There are at least 113 different cannabinoids found in full-spectrum CBD, all with varying medicinal benefits.

Usage And Benefits Of Hemp CBD Oil

  • Benefits the body’s own Endocannabinoid System (ECS)

  • Encourages optimal function and homeostasis by working with the CB1 and CB2 receptors located throughout the body (appetite, mood, pain, sleep, immune response, etc.)

  • Communicates with other systems in the body (nervous system, digestive system, immune system, etc.)

  • Analgesic

  • CBD oil has several therapeutic properties that make it beneficial for medicinal usage

So Can You Buy CBD Oil On Amazon? NOPE!!

You can buy hemp seed oil on Amazon, but you won’t find Cannabis or CBD oil on Amazon. Amazon refuses to sell CBD products but still has pages and pages of hemp seed oil products that claim to be CBD.

It truly is buyer beware. When purchasing CBD make sure you look for the key components in as outlined in my article How To Identify High Quality CBD.

Remember, hemp seed oil contains great omegas but does not contain CBD. If you are looking for potential medicinal benefits you need high-quality CBD oil. Make sure you know what you are buying.
